Troopers Arrest Two From Excelsior Springs Sunday

Troopers report the arrest of two Excelsior Springs residents Sunday in Clay County.
Authorities say the first arrest came at 4:53 a.m. with the arrest of 49-year-old Shawna M. McAfee on preliminary charges of driving while intoxicated and careless and imprudent driving resulting in a crash.
Troopers also reported the arrest of 36-year-old Christopher D. Martin at 11:58 p.m. on preliminary charges of driving while intoxicated, careless and imprudent driving resulting in a crash, and not having valid insurance.
Authorities ultimately released both from custody.
