Tuesday Afternoon Accident South of Bethany Injures Passenger

A Tuesday afternoon accident south of Bethany resulted in injuries to a Louisiana woman.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says two vehicles were southbound on Interstate 35 just before 4 p.m., 2 miles south of Bethany, when a vehicle driven by 67-year old Gerald Barousse of Lafayette, Louisiana struck the unit being towed by 76-year old Kenneth Zaczkowski of Columbus, Minnesota.

Both vehicles were able to come to a controlled stop on the shoulder.

A passenger in Barousse’s vehicle, 66-year old Shannon Barousse, also of Lafayette, Louisiana, sustained moderate injuries and was taken to Harrison County Community Hospital.
