Turney Man Injured in DeKalb County Crash This Morning

A Turney man suffered injuries in a DeKalb County crash this morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred around 6:40 this morning on U.S. 36 at Highway 31, about four miles west of Stewartsville, as a vehicle driven by 72-year-old Saint Joseph resident Bruce L. Pratt entered the intersection southbound in front of 42-year-old Turney resident Kip V. Whitt.

Troopers say Pratt slid off the west side of the crossover, went into the median, and came to a rest.

Whitt’s vehicle came to a rest in the passing lane facing westbound.

Whitt suffered moderate injuries and sought treatment at Mosaic.

Authorities listed no injuries for Pratt.

Troopers say all involved wore seat belts at the time of the crash.
