Two Area Residents Arrested Sunday in Clinton County

Two area residents were each arrested on six charges Sunday afternoon in Clinton County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 47-year-old Easton resident Peter M. Moore was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of a controlled substance of methamphetamine, obstructing justice, possession of stolen property, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a vehicle without a valid license, displaying the plates of another vehicle, and failure to maintain proof of insurance.

Troopers also report the arrest of 46-year-old Cameron resident Traci N. Yates on preliminary charges of possession of a controlled substance of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, obstructing justice, and possession of stolen property.

Yates also had an outstanding felony warrant from Livingston County on a probation violation from an original charge of making terroristic threats and a Clinton County misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of exceeding the posted speed limit.

Both Moore and Yates were taken to the Clinton County Jail and booked on 24-hour holds.

Troopers say both arrests occurred at 4:28 Sunday afternoon.
