Two Arrested on Meth Charges in Chillicothe

Two Chillicothe residents are behind bars after being arrested on drug charges Wednesday.

According to information from Livingston COunty Sheriff Steve Cox, deputies with his office and officers with the Chillicothe Police Department were working an investigation on 39-year-old Kevin R. Head who was wanted on an arrest warrant for alleged Failure to Obey a Judge’s Order on original 3 class D felony violations of Possession of Controlled Substance-Meth, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and Receiving Stolen Property.

During that investigation officers were led to an apartment in the 800 block of Calhoun Street in Chillicothe. The occupants of that apartment refused to comply with officers so a warrant to search the residence was obtained.

Head eventually did surrender to officers. A search of the residence uncovered methamphetamine, multiple items of distribution equipment, and other items.

As a result Head was given an additional charge of possession of controlled substance- methamphetamine. Officers also arrested 25-year-old Dylan E. Head for alleged possession of controlled substance- methamphetamine and felony hindering prosecution.
