Two Cameron Women Suffer Minor Injuries in Accident Tuesday Evening

Two Cameron women were left with minor injuries after a two vehicle accident on Route EE Tuesday evening.

The Highway Patrol says 24-year-old Alexis D. Ratliff was driving a 2006 Ford Focus on Route EE about one mile north of Cameron at 5:55 P.M. Tuesday when she failed to yield to an oncoming 2002 Chevy tahoe while trying to make a left hand turn into a residential area.

Ratliff suffered minor injuries and was taken by private vehicle to Cameron Regional Medical Center for treatment.

The driver of the Tahoe, 64-year-old Vicky Helms, also suffered minor injuries and was taken by Cameron EMS to Cameron Regional Medical Center.

The Highway Patrol says both women were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
