Two Charged in Unionville Shooting

A Columbia, Missouri man and woman are facing serious charges in Putnam County after an incident this week.  Twenty-two year old John Daniel Crawford Murry and 22-year old Victoria Larsen are alleged to have been involved in a Wednesday night shooting.

Around 10:15 pm Wednesday, authorities responded to a report of shots fired at a second-floor apartment in Unionville near the Putnam County Library.  Police say Murry and Larsen went into the apartment where Murry struck the victim several times with a pistol and then shot him multiple times before they fled the scene.

The victim is hospitalized at Research Medical Center in Kansas City.  His condition is unknown.

Both individuals formerly lived in Kirksville prior to moving to Columbia.  The motive for the shooting is unknown, and the two were arrested Thursday afternoon at their home in Columbia.

Murry and Larsen have been charged with first-degree assault, first-degree burglary, and armed criminal action.
