Two From KC Area Arrested in Cameron in Stolen Car

Cameron Police arrested a pair of Kansas City area residents Tuesday morning after the pair were found sleeping in a stolen car.

According to information released by Cameron Police Chiefs Rick Bashor, his officers were dispatched to an apartment complex on the 700 block of Northland Drive at 7:24 A.M. Tuesday, July 28 in reference to a suspicious vehicle with two people sleeping in it.

Officers made contact with one male and one female that were sleeping in the vehicle. Further investigation revealed that vehicle had been stolen out of the Grandview area on Monday, July 27. The two individuals were taken into custody without incident.

The DeKalb County Prosecutor has now filed charges against the two.

Claycomo resident 29-year-old Corey Dwyer has been charged with Class D Felony Tampering with a Motor Vehicle. He was also found to be wanted on a misdemeanor warrant out of Clay County for a probation violation.

Dwyer’s bond was set at $10,000.00 cash only for the tampering charge and his bond for the probation warrant was $250.00 cash only.

The second suspect, 31-year-old Belton resident Nicole Graenser, is also charged with Class D Felony Tampering with a Motor Vehicle. She was found to be wanted on a Cass County warrant for a probation violation.

Her bond for the tampering was set $5,000.00 cash only and her bond for the probation warrant was $25,000.00 cash only.
