Two Gilman City teens were injured in a Saturday afternoon accident in Harrison County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol the crash occurred as a vehicle driven by 23-year old Allysa Robinson of Liberty, Missouri was attempting to turn around in the roadway at the bottom of a hill on Route CC, 5 miles north of Melbourne around 2:45 p.m. when a vehicle driven by 18-year old Jacob C. Zerbe of Gilman City crested the hill and swerved to avoid striking the other vehicle.
Zerbe went off the roadway and overcorrected. He re-entered the roadway, overturned and went off the east side of the roadway. Zerbe was ejected during the crash. He was taken to Harrison County Community Hospital with moderate injuries. A 15-year old female passenger in Zerbe’s vehicle was taken to Harrison County Community Hospital with minor injuries.
