Two Hurt In Thursday Morning Andrew County Crash

A pair of individuals were left with injuries Thursday morning in a two-vehicle accident in Andrew County.

According to the accident report from the Highway Patrol, 50-year-old Buckner resident Wendy C. Groves was driving a 2018 Chevy Traverse northbound on Business Route 71 six miles south of Savannah at 10:15 A.M. when she began to slow to make a left hand turn onto County Road 360.

At that point a 2007 Ford Edge being driven by 37-year-old St. Joseph resident Tyrell W. Page, which was following the Graves vehicle, began to skid, going off the left side of the highway and striking the rear end of the Groves vehicle.

The collision sent the Groves Traverse across the median and southbound lanes of the Highway before it came to rest off the left side of the roadway.

Both individuals were wearing proper seat belts at the time of the crash. Groves suffered moderate injuries and was taken by Andrew County EMS to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph for treatment. Page suffered minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene.
