Two Injured in Platte County Hit-and-Run Wednesday Night

Two people suffered injuries in a Platte County crash Wednesday evening.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred around 5:35 Wednesday night on I-29, south of Waukomis Drive, as 36-year-old Platte City resident Brittany J. Marling drove southbound.
Troopers say another southbound vehicle struck Marling from behind and sent Marling into a third southbound vehicle driven by 33-year-old Independence resident Amanda M. Bradshaw-Toler.
Marling suffered minor injuries and sought treatment at Liberty Hospital.
Bradshaw-Toler suffered minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene.
Authorities do not know who hit Marling from behind and say that vehicle left the scene of the crash.
Troopers report Marling did not wear a seat belt at the time of the crash, while Bradshaw-Toler did.
