Two Injured in Ray County Crash on Highway 13 Tuesday Afternoon

Two people, one from Polo and one from Iowa, suffered injuries in a Ray County crash Tuesday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred around 1:55 Tuesday afternoon on Highway 13, north of West 220th Street, as 34-year-old Webster City, Iowa resident Manyvone Bunpan drove southbound.

Troopers say Bunpan struck another southbound vehicle driven by 66-year-old Polo resident Deborah L. Carver after they stopped at a construction area.

Bunpan’s Ford F250 continued south and struck another stopped southbound vehicle driven by 34-year-old Polo resident Jonathan T. Seifert.

A passenger in Bunpan’s truck, 19-year-old Manson, Iowa resident Johsua A. Durbin, suffered minor injuries and sought treatment at Ray County Hospital.

Carver suffered moderate injuries and sought treatment at Liberty Hospital.

Authorities say all involved wore seat belts at the time of the crash.
