Two Juveniles Injured In Accident Near Chillicothe
Two Brookfield juveniles were injured following an accident involving a car and Peterbuilt truck south of Chillicothe late Tuesday morning.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 18 year old Derick Rautanen was driving a vehicle that hit the back of a Peterbuilt truck while driving 5 miles south of Chillicothe on U.S. 65 Highway. His vehicle actually became stuck to the towed unit of the Peterbuilt truck and was pulled for a short distance before stopping on the shoulder of the roadway. A 16-year-old girls received moderate injuries from the accident. The 15-year-old boy had minor injuries. Both were taken to Hedrick Medical Center.
The accident occurred at 11:15. The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department and the Chillicothe EMS assisted the Highway Patrol.
