Two Seriously Injured In Nodaway County Accident

A vehicle was totaled, and two Nebraska residents were seriously injured following an accident Thursday morning west of Maryville.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 18 year old Kodenn Koester of Dubois, Nebraska was driving westbound on Missouri Highway 46 and crossed the center line with a vehicle that went off the roadway, struck an embankment, and went airborne. The vehicle struck a culvert and began to overturn. The vehicle came to rest off the side of the roadway.

The driver and a passenger, 18 year old Jenna Weidner of Omaha, was also seriously injured and was taken to Mosaic Life Care of Maryville.

The accident took place at 5:45am Thursday morning.

The Nodaway County Sheriff’s Department and the Maryville Department of Public Safety assisted the Highway Patrol.
