Two St. Joseph Residents Arrested on Sex Crime Charge

Two Saint Joseph residents were arrested on a felony sex crime charge Saturday in Buchanan County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 46-year-old Matthew W. Smith and 48-year-old Robert A. Smith were both arrested on preliminary charges of felony failure to register as a sex offender.
Matthew Smith was taken to the Andrew County Sheriff’s Office and booked on a 24-hour hold.
Robert Smith was taken to the Buchanan County Law Enforcement Center and booked on a 24-hour hold.
