U.S. Route 36 Resurfacing In DeKalb County Starts Next Week

A resurfacing project on U.S. Route 36 in DeKalb County is shifting from concrete patching to asphalt work next week.

Mo-Dot, working with Magruder Paving, LLC, is preforming pavement repairs, resurfacing, curb repair and guardrail improvements from Route 33 to just east of Grindstone Creek in the eastbound lanes and from Route 33 to Route C in the westbound lanes.

U.S. Route 36 will remain open through the project, but one lane may be closed in either direction around the repair sites and paving operations. Some of these single-lane closures could remain up around-the-clock in order to allow the pavement to cure.

Some ramps may close during the resurfacing.

A 12-foot width restriction will be in place for the duration of the project, which is scheduled to be complete in early August.

All work is weather permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
