A Unionville teenager is facing charges after he is alleged to have picked up a runaway girl.
Nineteen-year old Jack Isaac Daniel Rogers of Unionville is charged with felony interference with custody and felony endangering the welfare of a child in the 1st degree in Putnam County.
A probable cause affidavit alleges Rogers picked up a juvenile female around 1 p.m. on Wednesday. The juvenile female is reported to have ran away from her foster parents home. Officers allege Rogers devised a plan with the juvenile to pick her up after she ran away. He is said to have transported her to Seymour, Iowa, to pick up another male juvenile who had also ran away from his home.
The statement also alleges Rogers smoke a “dab pen” which is described as THC wax in the car with the juvenile placing her at risk of getting a “contact high.”
A warrant has been issued for Rogers’ arrest.
