Uphill Battle Expected On Missouri Sports Betting Bill

(MISSOURINET) – More than 30 states have legalized sports betting, but not Missouri.
Several sports betting bills have been filed this session, but Senators are butting heads over what should be in the bill and what should not be in the bill.
State Representative Dave Griffith is sponsoring one that might have an uphill battle.
His bill would put a large share of an admission fee revenue increase towards Missouri’s seven nursing homes caring for veterans.
Under Griffith’s legislation, some of the tax revenue would also be used to buy the artifacts in the Arabia Steamboat Museum in Kansas City and move it to Jefferson City.
