Veterans Plaza to Be Rededicated in Jefferson City
The Veteran’s Plaza in Missouri’s Capitol City is being rededicated on the 20th anniversary of the attacks on Washington DC Sept 11
The Veteran’s Plaza at its current location in front of the Jefferson City Police Department was first dedicated on October 9, 2006.
It includes the original Korean and Vietnam Memorial and a “Walk of Honor lined with commemorative bricks, engraved with the veteran’s name, rank, branch of service, unit, years of service, and conflict.
Now the site has been expanded and more bricks can be added – so the City is rededicating the site with a full ceremony on Sept 11.
Honorably discharged or certain active-duty military personnel are also eligible.
Commemorative bricks are on sale at the Public Works Department of the City of Jefferson.
