Voter ID Amendment Passes MO House

The Missouri House of Representatives passed a resolution on Thursday that would require Missouri voters to provide a government issued photo ID at the polls.

Representative Peter Merideth of St. Louis City voted against the piece of legislation. He believes photo identification would decrease political participation.

If the Senate also passes the resolution, Missourians would vote on whether it should become an amendment to the state constitution.
