Warsaw Woman Killed in Dekalb County Crash Sunday

A Warsaw woman was killed and three others injured in a Dekalb County accident Sunday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred on Southwest Lakesite Road at Southwest Rogers Road, a mile north of Osborn, when a vehicle driven by 52-year-old Saint Joseph resident John P. Harman was heading eastbound.

Troopers say Harman failed to yield at the intersection to an oncoming northbound vehicle being driven by 41-year-old Tulsa, Oklahoma resident Eric R. Hartley.

The front of Hartley’s vehicle would strike the passenger side of Harman’s vehicle.

Harman suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Mosaic Life Care in Saint Joseph for treatment.

A passenger in his vehicle, 50-year-old Warsaw resident Donna I. Cook, was pronounced dead at Cameron Regional Medical Center.

Hartley reported minor injuries and was taken to Mosaic for treatment.

A passenger in Hartley’s vehicle, 48-year-old Tulsa resident Emily B. Hartley, suffered serious injuries and was also taken to Mosaic Life Care for treatment.

Troopers say both Hartley’s were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, while Harman and Cook were not.
