Wheeling Man Arrested After Vehicle & Foot Pursuit in Chillicothe

CHILLICTHE, MO – Officers with the Chillicothe Police Department conducted a traffic stop around 10:15 Sunday night on a vehicle near Mitchell Road and Corporate Drive. Law enforcement says the driver of the vehicle failed to yield and continued driving to the area of the 600 block of corporate Drive, where the driver exited the vehicle and fled the scene on foot.

Officers were able to track the suspect due to the fresh layer of snow on the ground. Thirty-seven year old Truitt Caudill of Wheeling was taken into custody after an approximate 2 to 3 mile track to an area east of Chillicothe without further incident on a State of Missouri Parole Warrant for receiving stolen property, possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia, felony driving while revoked, felony resisting arrest, and failing to register a motor vehicle.

He was transported to the Daviess DeKalb Regional Jail where he will be held on the Parole warrant. Further charges are being sought with the Livingston County Prosecutor’s Office.
