Winston Man Arrested After Accident

A Winston man was arrested on a string of driving related charges Thursday afternoon, including a felony level DWI.

The Highway Patrol reports 63-year-old Winston resident William F. Chapman was arrested at 2:06 P.M. Thursday for felony driving while intoxicated as an aggravated offender, failing to maintain a single lane resulting in an accident, driving on the wrong side of the road, leaving the scene of an accident and for not having insurance.

Chapman was released from custody to receive medical care.

No details of the traffic accident were released by the Highway Patrol.
