Reminder: the collection of Free & Reduced apps determines several funding sources for our school district.  Even if you do not believe you qualify, those that return applications in September will be entered for prize drawing.  Several students have won prizes already!!!

Junior high boys’ basketball practice starts Tuesday, 6:15 AM. Gym door will be open.  Students must have a current physical before they can practice.

Junior high boys’ basketball parent meeting, Thursday, Sept 23rd, 5:30 in the Gym.

VoTech students do attend the North Central Career Center on Mondays. The bus leaves the parking lot at 7:15am.

School hours for students: 7:50am – 3:35pm.  Students should be in their rooms ready to work prior to the tardy bell.  Detentions will be given for repeatedly late students.

 The Winston School Board meeting is Monday September 20, 2021.  The agenda is attached.

Parents- remind your summer school students to cash their attendance checks.  Checks are void after 90 days (the end of September, in this case)

Parents, please remember to contact the office prior to the student’s absence or before 8:30am the day of.  We appreciate your assistance.

Yearbooks are now on sale for the 2021-2022 school yearbook. They are $25.00 each and may be purchased online or by sending your order form to Mrs. Faulkner. Click here to order your yearbook online!

School Coverage:  With the loss of the Gallatin paper, the Tri-County Weekly Newspaper out of Jamesport has informed us that they will be publishing pictures and articles concerning the Winston R-VI School District.

At various times throughout the school year the Winston –RVI School District will use the media to recognize and celebrate the achievements of our students.  If you do not wish to have your student recognized for their accomplishments in this manner, please contact the office for paperwork to fill out.

Summer improvement projects being completed this summer include:

• Renovation of the girl’s and boy’s locker rooms. The locker rooms are being completely refurbished with new epoxy flooring, windows, fixtures, paint and partitions.  Plumbing in showers in being reconfigured to remedy the hot water issues.
• More concrete drive/parking has been installed.
• The gym windows will be enclosed, an exhaust fan and air intake will also be installed.
• Multiple classrooms are being repainted.
• Floors are being cleaned and waxed where it is prescribed.
• Additional water bottle station installed by the cafeteria
• Softball Scoreboard has already been installed
