The Winston School Board will meet in regular session on Thursday April 14 at 7pm in the library. Agenda is attached.

Winston R-IV School District will offer a 2022 Summer School for students entering Kindergarten through 12th grade. Please click on the Registration Link to  register for Winston Summer School 2022 so staffing and  planning can be completed. Registration Link



Week 1 – Monday June 6 to Thursday June 9

Week 2 – Monday June 13 to Thursday June 16

Week 3 – Monday June 20 to Thursday June 23

Week 4 – Monday June 27 to Thursday June 30

Time: 7:30am to 3:20 pm, Buildings will be open at 7:20 am.

  • Kindergarten – 6th grade will focus on education through enrichment activities.
  • 7th- 12th grade will offer both enrichment activities and remediation depending on the needs of the student.

Congratulations to Jacob Uthe and Brian Lewis for being selected to the News Press All Area Basketball Team.

NHS collected 91 food items to donate to the Daviess County Meals on Wheels program.  We would like to thank everyone for their support.

FFA District Contest Results:

Dairy Foods – 4th Place, Advancing to State.

Entomology – 3rd Place, Advancing to State

Floriculture – 12th Place, Advancing to State

Food Science – 4th Place

Poultry – 7th Place, Advancing to State

Students placing in the Top 10 of their respective contest were: Levi Youtsey, Alyssa Batson, Marissa Uthe, Megan Christensen, & Braden Lee

Congratulations, and best of luck at the State Convention later this month.

3rd Quarter Honor Roll which can be also found on the school website.

Prom will be held this Saturday at the Old Cameron Middle School for all juniors and seniors. Promenade at 7:00 Dance 8:00-11:00.

Sign-up sheets for cheerleading are on the Library door.

Seniors-If you want a senior ad in the yearbook, the deadline to have this done is April 15th.

The Volleyball Tournament sponsored by Student Council time has been changed to 5:00, Monday, April 11th.

The school is accepting applications from students 16 years or older for maintenance help this summer and yard mowing starting in April.  If interested, you can get an application in the office.

Students – as the year begins to wind down, please be diligent in finding any missing Chromebook chargers, calculators, etc. and get them back to school. Recently several students have indicated that they don’t know where their chargers are. There is a $15 fee if the charger doesn’t come back with the Chromebook. If you find an extra – please bring it back as well!

Congratulations to the Academic Team that ended the season 5-2 and 2nd in the Conference with the following team members: Eli Uthe, CJ Mullikin, Cory Parker, Zoe Taylor, Sage Eiken and Noel Nelson.  All Conference Team: First Team: Cory Parker and CJ Mullikin and Second Team: Eli Uthe.  District meet is April 9th at the Jefferson School District.

Congratulations to the Varsity Boys basketball team for winning the Championship of the Osborn Tournament. Jacob Uthe and Brian Lewis made the 2022 Osborn Tournament all-tournament team.  Congratulations.

Parents, please remember to contact to office prior to student’s absence or before 8:30am the day of.  Parents can call the school at 660.339.6462 for student absences- if it is outside of school hours- no problem! you can leave a voice message. We appreciate your assistance.

2020-21 Yearbooks are waiting for ’21 graduates to pick them up at the office.

Yearbooks are now on sale for the 2021-2022 school yearbook. They may be purchased online or by sending your order form to Mrs. Faulkner. Click here to order your yearbook online!

VoTech students do attend the North Central Career Center on Mondays. The bus leaves the parking lot at 7:15am.

School hours for students: 7:50am – 3:35pm.  Students should be in their rooms ready to work prior to the tardy bell.  Detentions will be given for repeatedly late students.

School Coverage:  Tri-County Weekly Newspaper out of Jamesport will be publishing pictures and articles concerning the Winston R-VI School District.

Do you want to see your student’s grades anytime?  Grades can also be checked online as needed.  If you have not signed up for access, please call the school.
