First Day of School is Tuesday August 24. School hours for students is 7:50am – 3:35pm
The next Winston School Board Meeting is on Monday August 16th at 7pm. The agenda is attached.
Open House is Thursday night from 6-8pm, 7th grade orientation will be at 6:30pm in the library.
Chromebooks can be issued that night if $25 payment and agreement has been received. Students may bring in supplies and visit with teachers. The School Board will be serving hot dogs.
The collection of Free & Reduced apps determines several funding sources for our school district. Even if you do not believe you qualify, those that return applications in August & September will be entered for prize drawing

At various times throughout the school year the Winston –RVI School District will use media to recognize and celebrate the achievements of our students. If you do not wish to have your student recognized for their accomplishments in this manner, please contact the office for paperwork to fill out.
Summer improvement projects being completed this summer include:
- Renovation of the girl’s and boy’s locker rooms. The locker rooms are being completely refurbished with new epoxy flooring, windows, fixtures, paint and partitions. Plumbing in showers in being reconfigured to remedy the hot water issues.
- More concrete drive/parking will be installed.
- Gym windows have been enclosed, an exhaust fan and air intake have also been installed.
- Multiple classrooms have been repainted.
- Floors are being cleaned and waxed where it is prescribed.
- Additional water bottle station will be installed by the cafeteria
- Softball Scoreboard has already been installed

October 26 – National FFA Convention
October 27 – Makeup/Retake for school day and senior proof plan (Tux and drapes) and Activity pictures (softball, cross country, JH basketball)
November 4 – ASVAB test
November 8 – Winston FFA Week
November 9 – -FFA Trash pickup
November 12 – FFA Barnwarming
November 22 – School in Session
November 24-26 – Thanksgiving Break
