Worth County Board Reviews Staffing Needs For 23-23 During January Session

Worth County School Board members extended the superintendent’s contract and gave the first reading of next year’s school calendar during their January meeting.

Next year’s school year will begin on August 22nd and conclude on May 16th. It includes 167 student days.

The board received a report of staffing needs of the district for the upcoming school year. They include a 7th through 12th grade special education instructor and part-time teacher, part-time activities director.

The board approved a resolution opposing legislation providing for open enrollment.

Superintendent Chris Healy’s contract was approved through the 2024-25 school year.

The board approved 3 substitute bus drivers and 1 substitute food service worker.

Worth County’s District has also received a $2,000 Financial Literacy Grant from First Interstate Bank.
