Wrong Way Driving Causes DeKalb County Accident

A Pattonsburg driver was taken to the hospital as he swerved to avoid a wrong-way driver on US 36 Highway west of Stewartsville Friday morning.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 30 year old Bryan Sweet was driving westbound on US 36 when the situation occurred. His pickup went off the side of the roadway and struck an embankment. The pickup eventually overturned and stayed on its top.
The driver was taken to Mosaic Life Care in Maryville.
The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department assisted the highway patrol. The accident took place just after 6:30 Friday morning.
