Northwest Missouri State men’s basketball player Trevor Hudgins has been named MIAA co-athlete of the week for men’s basketball, an honor he shares this week with Washburn’s Tyler Geiman .
Hudgins earned his second Athlete of the Week honor of the season after averaging 20.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.0 steals in a pair of Bearcat wins. Hudgins had a season-high 29 points with eight rebounds against Fort Hays State. He scored 12 points with a pair of late free throws to close out a victory over Nebraska-Kearney.
For Geiman, it was his third-straight week earning conference honors. The senior averaged 23.4 points, 7.5 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals in a pair of victories. He had a double-double with 28 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds against Missouri Southern. He added 19 points against Pittsburg State.
