Desiree Reed Francois Introduced As MU Athletics Director

The University of Missouri introduced their new Athletic Director Wednesday. Desiree Reed Francois is coming to MU from UNLV where she had served as Athletic Director since 2017.
MU President Mun Choi says MU plans to provide the necessary investment to achieve excellence.
He says the search when the the search committee found the right person.
Desiree Reed Francois touched on the culture she envisions.
She says the structure is designed to win championships
She prefers to identify opportunities rather than challenges.
She feels the university can position itself positively for NIL.
One of the first measures is to conduct a squad analysis.
She says she was happy at UNLV and had momentum but say promise in MU.
She also stated that decisions made by the department will be made with the best for student-athletes in mind.
