Millslagle Defends NAIA High Jump Championship

Graceland High Jumper Michael Millslagle successfully defended an NAIA Indoor High Jump National Championship in Brookings, South Dakota on Friday.  The Graceland senior jumped 2.14 meters (7 ft .25″) to claim the title.  He entered the competition at 6’7 1/2 and cleared the first two heights on his first attempts.  He needed a third attempt to clear 2.08 meters, but then cleared 2.11 and 2.14 to win the championship.  He also talked to the NAIA after the competition.

Graceland freshman Joseph Alexander also claimed All-American status.  His 7.25m long jump placed 7th at the competition.
