Missouri State High School Activities Association officials have announced a partnership with the Kansas City Chiefs and the NFL Foundation to implement the InSideOut Initiative. The initiative is a national movement that empower and equips school communities to implement purpose-based athletics.
The InSideOut Initiative provides training for educational leaders, athletic administrators, coaches, and community stakeholders to support schools to redefine and reframe the value of sports as a platform to develop the human potential of students.
Dr. Kerwin Urhahn, MSHSAA Executive Director, says by returning the focus of high school sports and activities to preparing students for life after high school through the avenue of sports will have a tremendous effect of the social-emotional character development of students across Missouri.
The InSideOut Initiative was incepted in 2015 and has impacted nearly 4 million student-athletes in 15 states.
