College Track

Graceland University Indoor Track and Field team took on the two day meet at the Washburn Open.

The Yellowjackets had two events that placed top ten. In High Jump, Michael Millslagle placed first jumping 2.15m. The Men’s 4×400 Meter Relay team placed ninth with a time of 3:24.68.

Northwest Open
Missouri Western
Kayden Crigger took home fourth place in the mile, running a 4:16.66. Crigger also set the school record with this run, beating Riley Gorham’s previous indoor record of 4:18.99 from 2019. MJ Smith set the school record for the indoor 400, running a 48.62 and just missing a DII provisional time.

Samuel Hydro broke the school indoor record in the 800, running a 1:54.56 and finishing eighth. Gorham finished fifth in the 3,000-meter race, setting a school record in the process of 8:33.25.

Allyssa Mahone took second in the women’s weight throw, throwing 17.69 meters for a DII provisional time and a new school record.

 

Northwest Missouri State

Luisarys Toledo took the title in the women’s 800-meter dash setting a new school, meet and field house record with a time of 2:09.80. That time ranks fourth best in the nation based on times prior to this weekend.

Northwest had two teams go one-two in the women’s 4×400-meter relay. Both squads broke the previous school-record of 3:44.47 set earlier in the season. The team of Jaedy Commins, Luisarys Toledo, Bailey Blake and Tiffany Hughey took the title with a NCAA Div. II provisional qualifying time of 3:43.94 which ranks first in the nation. Team two consisted of Chloe Saenz, Kennedi Cline, Haley Luna and Kaylee Harp took second with NCAA Div. II provisional qualifying time of 3:44.20 which now ranks number two in the nation. Both squads also broke both the field house and meet records.

Bailey Blake, Lydia McGlocklin and Kaylee Harp all posted NCAA Div. II provisional qualifying times in the women’s 800.

Reece smith took the title in the men’s mile with a school-record breaking time of 4:06.39. That time ranks third best in the region and is a NCAA Div. II provisional qualifying time.

Caroline Cunningham took the title in the women’s mile with a meet-record breaking time of 4:54.36.

Ally Hammond posted a NCAA Div. II provisional qualifying time in both the women’s 60-meter dash and in the 60-meter hurdles. In the 60-meter dash Hammond finished in second with a time of 7.54 which ties her personal best and the school record. In the 60-meter hurdles Hammond placed sixth with a time of 8.66.

Lexie Gilbert finished fourth in the women’s 60-meter dash with an NCAA Div. II qualifying time of 7.64. That time is fourth best in program history and is her personal best.

Joel Dos Santos finished in fifth in the men’s 60-meter dash with an NCAA Div. II provisional qualifying time of 6.86.

Kennedi Cline took the title in the women’s 400-meter dash with an NCAA Div. II provisional qualifying time of 55.19 which is fourth fastest in program history and sixth best in the nation. Chloe Saenz also posted an NCAA Div. II provisional qualifying time of 56.68 which was good for fifth place.

Riley Witt took first-place in the men’s 800-meter run with an NCAA Div. II provisional qualifying time of 1:51.61 which is fourth best in program history and third best in the region based on times coming into this weekend.

Amber Owens finished third in the women’s 3,000-meter run with a time of 10:07.77.

Andrew Atkins finished first in the men’s 3,000-meter run with a time of 8:23.16 which is good for fourth best in program history.

The men’s 4×400-meter relay took fourth place with a NCAA Div. II provisional qualifying time of 3:15.77. The team consisted of Raheem Williams, Danny Jantzen, Truman Hare and Federico Crisci. This time is eighth best in program history.

Kaitlin Peak finished fifth in the women’s weight throw and posted the fifth farthest throw in program history with a throw of 53-06.50. (16.32m)
