Lawson Coach/South Harrison Alum Inducted into Missouri Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame

SPRINGFIELD, MO – Lawson coach Brad Smith was inducted into the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame on Saturday.  Other inductees include Andy Anderson Greg Buescher, Nancy Fahey, Cliff Hawkins, Kelvin Lee, Richard Maloney and Chris Pilz.  The Gary Filbert Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Coach Cheryl Burnett.

Smith retired from Lawson in 2020 after 30 years with the school district.  He began his career teaching middle school science and math and coaching junior high football and basketball.  He later became the head coach for high school boys basketball and high school boys and girls golf.  Smith is a 1987 graduate of South Harrison High School in Bethany.
