NORTH HARRISON PULLS AWAY LATE TO WIN DISTRICT 15 BASEBALL TOURNEY

THE NORTH HARRISON SHAMROCKS HAD A STRONG START AND A BIG 6TH INNING AT THE PLATE TO BEAT TOP-SEEDED PATTONSBURG IN THE DISTRICT 15 CHAMPIONSHIP GAME 10-7 ON WEDNESDAY EVENING AT PATTONSBURG. NORTH HARRISON STARTED THE GAME WITH FIVE CONSECUTIVE BATTERS REACHING BASE AND SCORED 4 RUNS ON 5 HITS IN THE INNING. PATTONSBURG WOULD ANSWER WITH A COUPLE RUNS IN THE BOTTOM OF THE FIRST, AND THEN, GOT A SOLO HOME RUN IN THE THIRD FROM CAMERON JONES TO MAKE IT A 4-3 GAME. IT STAYED THAT WAY UNTIL THE TH INNING. NORTH HARRISON GOT A LEADOFF HOME RUN FROM DARIN HUITT, THEN LOADED THE BASES, AND BRETT EMIG HIT A GRAND SLAM HOME RUN. NORTH HARRISON WOULD GET ANOTHER RUN IN THE SEVENTH INNING FOR A 10-3 LEAD. PATTONSBURG WOULD GET A LEADOFF WALK IN THE SEVENTH INNING AND THEN FOUR CONSECUTIVE BATTERS REACHED AFTER TWO WERE OUT.
