Adelia Bett Shacketon

Adelia Bett Shackelton – age 48 of Kansas City, MO passed away Wednesday November 23, 2022, at Liberty Hospital in Liberty, MO. Adelia was born on March 6, 1974, the daughter of Richard  and Betty  (Cicero) Shackelton in Independence, MO. She grew up in Lathrop and was a 1992 graduate of Lathrop High School. She went on to obtain a bachelor’s degree in hotel and restaurant management from the University of Central Missouri. Adelia was all about her kids and their friends.  In recent years she spent time caring for her mom. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Adelia was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather, Charles Elliott. She is survived by two sons, Jaden Farrimond of Kansas City, MO and Dylan Farrimond of Kansas City, MO; sisters, Deborah Kissick (Jim) of Pueblo West, CO and Patricia Lowry of Platte City, MO; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other extended family members also survive.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Stith Funeral Home to help with final expenses. Memorial services will be held at 7 PM, Tuesday, December 6th, 2022, at North Star United Methodist Church, Kansas City. Burial at a later date at Lathrop Cemetery.
