Dan Dilley

Dan Dilley, 52, Pattonsburg, MO passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021 with his wife and children by his side.

He was born on September 6, 1969 to Kenneth and Evelyn (Sutton) Dilley.  He was raised in Pattonsburg, Missouri and graduated from Pattonsburg High School in 1987.  In 1988, he bought his farm in Pattonsburg, and that’s where he raised his family.  He married Becky Jo Robertson on July 20, 1996 and they shared four wonderful children: Saige, Emily, Shelbey, and Cole.  He loved working and farming alongside his dad and spending many years running the feed store in Pattonsburg until its closing in 2000.  He always worked very hard to provide for his wife and family.  He worked for Decker Construction Services, Inc. for many years, where he not only worked hard, but also developed many friendships.  Dan was also lifelong farmer, primarily raising hogs and cattle alongside his dad, and then later his son, Cole.  He loved spending evenings cruising the countryside with Becky, cheering his children on at their ball games, and playing a game of cards with his friends.

Dan was a wonderful husband and father, and he was so proud of his beautiful wife and children.  He was also a great son, brother, and friend.  He always made sure his family and friends were taken care of, and people often described him as the most selfless person they knew. He always said, “you have to be a friend to have a friend,” and he modeled it well.  Dan was a friend like no other, having many friends that were more like family. His mom joked about having extra sons because of the friends Dan would bring home and he has carried those friendships through his life.

Dan was baptized at a young age and was a lifelong member of Oak Ridge Church. He joined his dad in heaven.

He is survived by his loving wife, Becky; his daughters, Saige (Cole) Mason, Emily (Garrett) Bennett, and Shelbey (Bryton) Bowles; his son, Joseph Cole Dilley and girlfriend, Emily Doty, and his grandsons, Barrett and Bridger Bowles.  He is also survived by his mother, Evelyn Dilley; brother, Gary (Lorna) Dilley, and sister Mary Lou (Bill) Browning; father and mother-in-law Garry and Charmayne Robertson; brother-in-law, Garret (Korrissa) Robertson, and nieces and nephews, Gavin (Katie) Dilley, Morgan (Mason) Ballew, Kenneth and Madelyn Browning, and Kamden and Kira Robertson, as well as three great nephews.

Dan’s life will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 18 at Roberson Funeral Home, Pattonsburg, MO. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Pattonsburg, MO. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
