Bradley James soon joined the family on January 10, 1983.  On December 3, 1988, Kenny and Bradley welcomed their younger brother Justin Drew. David was a wonderful husband and an amazing father. He lived for his family.

After the death of his parents, David and Rebecca were able to move into the home where David was raised and where they still reside today.

David continued farming and raised his boys to follow in his footsteps by teaching them the tools of his trade, being a hard-working farmer.  He enjoyed taking Kenny on Kubota rides. After teaching Kenny how to drive it, it wasn’t long until Kenny started chauffeuring David around.  “Hold on dad”, Kenny would say. He enjoyed teaching Bradley and Justin to work on International tractors, many hours were spent watching and helping them diagnose issues. Throughout the years Bradley continued to farm alongside his father on the family farm.  Justin chose to start a salvage business to use the knowledge which his father had given him on red tractors.

David enjoyed racing cars, auctions, bowling, fishing, farming and he adored his pulling tractor known as Full Throttle. On which he won the Championship at the Missouri State Fair in 2011.

David and Rebecca were faithful fair attendees. Every year they would attend the Missouri State Fair. They were joined by their grandchildren who enjoyed staying with them and getting spoiled.

David looked forward to tilling the ground in the spring and harvesting in the fall so he could operate his one piece of green machinery, a John Deere combine.

One of David’s favorite things to do was gather his family and head to Grand River where a family campsite was established in 1994. Many activities including BBQ’s, fish fries and a wedding reception.
