Debbie Lee, 69, St. Joseph, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2023.
She was born on June 25, 1954, to Harold T. and Charlyne (Wells) Perry, in Fairfax, Missouri.
Debbie worked as a medical transcriptionist for many years and was a member of the Heartland Troupe for over 15 years, raising money for the Wounded Warrior Project.
Debbie’s family was her pride and joy. She loved getting the family together and creating interactive games for the family to enjoy together at gatherings and the holidays. Each summer, she hosted the “Backyard Olympics” with new games featured each year.
She was preceded in death by her father and stepmother, Harold and Evelyn Perry, and her mother and stepfather, Charlyne and Pete Anderson.
Survivors include her children, Nicole Poirier (Glenn), Dan Slawson, Ken Slawson (Jennifer Greub) and Bob Slawson, and her beloved grandchildren, Cooper, Chloe, Alexis, Isaiah, and Krystina.
Farewell Services 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 17, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will gather with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
