Doyle E. Lamont Sr.

Doyle E. Lamont Sr. – age 95 of Lathrop, MO passed away Tuesday evening, September 19, 2023, at his home. He was born on September 29, 1927, the son of Edd and Ada Josephine (Chambers) Lamont in Delaware County, Oklahoma. He grew up in Siloam Springs, Arkansas and Jay, Oklahoma. Doyle was united in marriage to Neoma Hawley on May 14th, 1950, in Siloam Springs. He worked for American Can Company in North Kansas City for over 35 years. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and hunting squirrels, dove, and quail. Doyle was always quick with a joke. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Doyle was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Neoma; sons, Doyle Lamont Jr. and Kirby Lamont; grandson, Clifford Lenn Lamont Jr.; great-granddaughter, Marissa Lamont; two brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his children, Clifford Lamont Sr. of Lathrop, MO and Emma Campbell of Edwards, MO; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family members also survive.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Kansas City Hospice in care of the funeral home.
