Freddie “Fred” Thomas Cain, 71, of Albany, MO, left his earthly life behind to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and his beautiful wife, Shelia K. (Rieks) Cain on January 8, 2022 at 12:15 PM at Mosaic Medical Center in Saint Joseph, MO surrounded by his loving children.

Fred was born on September 19, 1950 to Ivas and Grace Cain. On September 20, 1975, he was united in marriage to Shelia K. (Rieks) Cain. To this union, they welcomed five children into this world, Chris, Kimberly, Tracy, Jeremy, and Holly.

Fred was a farm hand for John, Louise, Marshall, and Delores Patton in McFall, MO before being employed with the Albany R-3 School District for 20+ years. He was also a member of the Army National Guard and was stationed with the Battery A, 1st Battalion, 129th FA of Albany, MO. He retired from the National Guard after faithful years of serving his country.

Fred served the majority of his adult life at Bethany Assembly of God Church in Bethany, MO. He sat on the board and was a devoted member. He was a true example of God’s love and compassion.

Fred was preceded in death by parents, Ivas and Grace, his loving wife, Shelia, his beautiful infant daughter, Kimberly, and grandpuppy, Pene.

Survivors include children, Chris Cain, Albany, MO; Tracy (John) Flager, Stewartsville, MO; Jeremy (Amanda) Cain, St. Joseph, MO; Holly (Doug) Walter, Albany, MO; brother, Charles Cain, Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Jarett, Leah, Adah, Dougie, and Otis; and grandpuppies: his boys, Harle and Mmoose; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Fred was a loving husband, father, grandpa, pops, uncle, and friend. He is dearly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral Service:  10:00 AM Thursday, January 13, at the Assembly of God Church in Bethany, Missouri.  Burial will follow in the McFall Cemetery, McFall, Missouri.  The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday evening at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany.  Friends may call anytime after 2:00 PM on Wednesday at the chapel.  Memorial Contributions:  Bethany Assembly of God Church in care of the Roberson-Polley Chapel, 403 N.
