Gail Mayse Dolan, 76, of Cape Coral, Florida passed away at Hope Healthcare on July 10, 2021.

She was born on August 24, 1944 to Reva Mallory Mayse and William Varner Mayse of Bethany, MO.  Gail was graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO and obtained her MBA from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, MO in 1995.

Gail is survived by her daughters, Stacey A. Hickie and husband, Brian of Phoenix, AZ, and Amy K. Garrett and husband, Andy of Arizona City, AZ; three grandchildren, Keira, Garret and Kailey; partner, Rick Williams of Cape Coral; sister, Carol L. Ebersole of Bethany, MO; brother, Mallory V. Mayse and wife, Susie of Columbia, MO and many cousins, nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her parents, former husband, John W. Dolan, and great-nephew, Alex Ebersole.

Her early career was centered on law office administration, where she managed personnel and administrative affairs for two prominent Kansas City law firms. She continued her early career in operations management following relocation to Boston, MA in 1988, where she managed a regional sales office for American Sterilizer Company. Turning her focus to marketing to complement her MBA studies, Gail soon joined AliMed, where she led its operating room and diagnostic imaging division. In 1999, Gail was offered an opportunity to move into the home healthcare medical products market with Invacare Corporation’s Boston medical supplies direct mail division.

In August 2004, Gail and Rick relocated to sunny Southwest Florida.  She was owner and President of Dolan Marketing Services, Inc., a firm she founded in 2006 to provide local businesses with first-rate marketing, advertising, copywriting, and promotional services. She applied her extensive marketing talents to local Southwest Florida businesses, primarily in the fields of consumer products and services, including retail, law, accounting, financial planning, and nonprofit organizations. Gail was always very community minded and involved in various civic activities within the Cape Coral area.

Gail fought a courageous battle against cancer since 2015.  She taught all of us how to fight with dignity and grace, and live every day to the fullest.  Her family is greatly comforted to know that Gail’s faith has become sight and she is with Jesus right this moment.

She was loved and admired by all those who knew her and will be missed by her treasured family and community friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 17 at the First Baptist Church, Bethany, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Park Cemetery, 5005 Frederick Boulevard, St. Joseph, MO, where Gail will be laid to rest near her parents, Reva and Varner Mayse, and other family members.  Memorials may be made to Valerie House and/or Hope Healthcare (Hospice) in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O.
