Gary Lynn Wages

Gary Lynn Wages, 66, of Unionville, MO passed away Thursday, July 30, 2020 at a North Kansas City hospital.

He was born March 22, 1954 in Exline, Iowa the son of Roy and Edna (Cline) Wages.

Gary was an avid outdoorsman where he loved to fish, hunt and take care of his cattle. Many times he would go out to feed and you could look out the window to see him playing with his cows with a smile on his face.

He also loved old cars and trucks. He spent countless hours helping his son build a drag car.

Gary was a beloved family man and his grandchildren put a twinkle in his eye. It didn’t matter what he was busy doing, when a grandchild said his name he would stop and help or listen to them with patient words. His most prized treasure in life was his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Edna; a son, Waylon Wages; siblings, Carletta West, Juanita Carlstrom, Evelyn Henderson, Shirley Herring, LaVern Wages, Jinnie Weggen, and infant sister, Eva June Wages.

He is survived by his children, Shane (Billie) Rudminat, Shane (Sonja) Wages, Danny (Tricia) Rudminat, Candi (Chuck) Cooke and Bobby (Ciera) Wages; 14 grandchildren; his siblings, Leroy (Jean) Wages, Marilyn Sherbonda, Deanie Wages and Dianna (Everett) Lamb and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services and Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 5 at Fairley Cemetery, north of Princeton, MO. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m – 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Roberson Funeral Home, Princeton, MO. Memorials may be made to the Gary Wages Memorial Fund in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O.
