James Moore Coulson, 50, Bethany, MO passed away, Monday, February 1, 2021 after a long, hard fought battle with cancer.

He was born on December 4, 1970 in Mt. Ayr, Iowa the son of Roger and Carol (Moore) Coulson.

He met Carrie Poole in 2000 and in 2005 they were married. They welcomed their daughter, Kara, in 2009.

Jim loved family and friends and enjoyed vacationing at Holiday Lake with Scott’s family. He enjoyed guns and America. He was a simple man; loving and kind, Jim worked as a Worth County Deputy, Harrison County Officer, EMT, Rescue Diver and Volunteer Fireman.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roger; paternal grandparents, Garland and Betty Coulson and maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Lucile Moore.

Jim is survived by his wife, Carrie and daughter, Kara of the home; mother, Carol Coulson; brothers-in-law, Scott and Denis, Des Moines, IA; brother, Jeff and Kristin, Jefferson City, MO; nieces and nephews, Shelby (Isaac), Lydia, Juan, Mark, and Jose; great niece, Lyric and great nephew, Lennox.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 5 at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Burial will follow in Miriam Cemetery, Bethany, MO. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home where social distancing will be observed and the family requests that masks be worn.
