John Nelson Eacret, 73, Coffey, MO passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at his home.

He was born on September 16, 1947 in Portland, Oregon the son of Earnest and Rachel (Stone) Eacret.

On July 7, 2007, he married Joan A. Hughes in Tracy, Missouri. She survives of the home.

John worked as a truck driver for Pavlidge, Pratte, and FBI Trucking and also worked for Masman Construction in Parkville, MO. He was the former Coffey Mayor and council member and volunteered with the Coffey Fire Department. He enjoyed woodworking and working on vehicles. He is remember as an easy going man who was very patient.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Anna Lee Eacret; first wife, Janet Eacret; step-mother, Betty Lou Eacret and a step great-great grandchild, Alexander Marr.

In addition to his wife, John is survived by his daughters, Shelly Eacret Wilkerson, Liberty, MO, Stacy Masoner, Smithville, MO, and Tonya Yocum, Holt, MO; step-children, Christine Marr Newsom (Richard), Platte City, MO, Angela Marr Determan, Camanche, IA, and Gary Lee Marr, Jr. (Cindy) Glasgow, KY; sister, Barbara Helegart; brother, Earnest Eacret; half-sister, Sheryl; grandchildren, Derrek Wilkerson, Kelsi Salsbury, Natasha Weddle, Daunte Winston, Chance and Cody Masoner; great grandchildren, Khia and Kace; 11 step grandchildren; 4 step great grandchildren; 1 step great-great grandchild; 11 nieces and 7 nephews.

John has been cremated under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO.
