Maysville, Missouri…. Mary Lou Holley, age 71, was born December 13, 1950, in Maysville, Missouri to William Guy Leonard and Opal Louise (Marshall) Leonard and passed away April 30, 2022, at Sunset Home in Maysville, Missouri.

Mary Lou graduated from Maysville High school in 1968. After graduation she attended beauty school in St. Joseph, Missouri and then operated her own beauty shop in Maysville for many years.

She married Ronald Lee Ashlock on May 22, 1974, and to this union two children were born. After Ronald’s passing in 1989, Mary Lou later married Gary Holley, on September 4, 1991.

Mary Lou was a cook at the Sunset Nursing Home in Maysville for many years and worked for Helton Funeral Home in Gallatin, Missouri.

She was a member of the Maysville Country Harvest committee and the Maysville City Council for multiple years.

She loved babysitting her grandchildren and baking and decorating cakes.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Ronald Ashlock and Gary Holley; brother, Leland Ray Leonard; stepson, Gary Wayne Holley; aunt, Betty B. Vinson.

Survivors include three children, Thomas Ashlock (Jacklin), Jenny Ferguson (Dave), Lisa Troyer (Leroy); eight grandchildren, Matt, Cadi, Allen, Catlin, Travis, Addie, Ben and Trenton; five great-grandchildren; and numerous friends.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at Turner Family Funeral Home of Maysville, MO with burial following at Mt. Zion Cemetery in New Hampton, Missouri.  In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contribution to the Dekalb County Library.
