Michael E. “Mike” Jones

Michael E. “Mike” Jones, 66, of Maryville, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at the North Kansas City Hospital.

Mike was born in Maryville, on January 24, 1958, and lived in the area all his life.  He graduated from Nodaway-Holt High School in Graham, in 1976.

Mike was a trucker all his life and was very passionate about it.  He had worked many years for JRS Unlimited, St. Joseph, Missouri.

He enjoyed the open road, then the occasional casino stop.  He liked farming, agriculture and hauling farm products.

Mike loved his kids and grandkids, and it was never a dull moment with Mike…Woop-Woop, Dad!

His father, Forest Jones preceded him in death.

He leaves behind his kids, Ryan (Niki) Jones, Kansas City, Missouri, Haily (Josh) Randall, Skidmore, Missouri, Hanna Strough, Maryville, Missouri, Austin (Tessa) Jones, Burlington Junction, Missouri, and Nathan Stevens, Michigan, his mother, Jessie (Richard) Smith, Maryville, Missouri, his siblings, Frances Jones, Maryville, Missouri, Cindy Kenny, Maitland, Missouri, Randy (Sarah) Jones, Mansfield, Arkansas, and LaWanda (Steve) Merrigan, Maryville, Missouri, 9 grandchildren, Colby, Gracyn, Skyler, Ethan, Brooklyn, Taylor, Chloe, Brayden, and Paisley, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at the Bram Funeral Home, Maryville, Missouri.  The burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Skidmore, Missouri.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM, on Monday, May 6, 2024, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial can be directed to the funeral home to help with final expenses.
