1935-2022
Kansas City, MO: Paul Dean VanMeter, 86, Kansas City, MO passed away Saturday, January 15,
2022 at his home.
He was born on March 24, 1935 in Bethany, Missouri the son of Dale and Norine (Christie)
VanMeter.
On May 2, 1964, he married Sharon Camp in Mt. Moriah, Missouri. She survives of the home.
Paul served in the United States Air Force and then worked as a mechanical engineer for
Colgate Palmolive Company.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Bill and Carl VanMeter.
In addition to his wife, Paul is survived by his children, Sherri (Edward) Atkison, Kansas City,
MO, Gregory (Claudia) VanMeter, Belton, MO, Michael (Angela) VanMeter, Frisco, TX and
Daniel (Brenda) VanMeter, Kearney, MO; 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and a
sister-in-law, Jeanie VanMeter.
Paul has been cremated under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO.
Memorial Graveside Services and Inurnment will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 22 at
Lloyd Cemetery, Mt. Moriah, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO.
There is no scheduled family visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lloyd
Cemetery in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 46, Bethany, MO 64424. Online
