STEWARTSVILLE, Mo. – Ransom Junior Marshall III, 95, of Stewartsville, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2024, in Stewartsville. He was born Aug. 14, 1928, in St. Joseph, son of the late Pearl and Ransom Marshall II. He served in the United States Navy and is a veteran of WWII serving on the USS Columbus, USS Mississippi, and the USS Iowa. He retired from MFA agriculture after 48 years of service. He enjoyed gardening and wood crafting.

Ransom was preceded in death by parents; his wife, Betty Lou Marshall; son, Ransom Marshall IV; brothers, Hubert and Elmer Marshall Sr., Leonard and Gary Meade; sisters, Irene Vanhulle, and Pearl Brumback.

Survivors include daughter, Phyllis (Chuck) Berry; son, Everett (Vicky) Marshall, Stewartsville, Missouri; nine grandchildren; several great-grand and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Kenneth (Marilyn) Marshall; sisters, Barbara Jean (Ed) Bryson; and a sister, Margi Neiderhauser.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Funeral services and public live stream; 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at the Rupp Funeral Home, Pastor Doug Reese officiating. The Interment will be at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Weston, Missouri.
