Cameron, Missouri- Donald Ray Stone, 86, passed away August 6, 2023.

Ray was born in Lathrop, Missouri on March 7, 1937, the only son of Raymond and Myrtle (Harper) Stone.

He graduated from Lathrop High School and was a United States Army Veteran, serving in what was then called West Germany. He was a member of the American Legion Elmer Ellis Post #33 in Cameron.

Ray lived northeast of Lathrop on the family farm, Triple S Farm, from 1946, moving to Cameron in 2001. He worked at the Corn Products Plant now called Ingredion in North Kansas City for 40 years. He was a member of the O.C.A.W. International Union- Local 5-617.

On September 11, 1971, he married Kathryn Elizabeth Kirk of Turney, Missouri. They were later divorced. In 2008 they were reunited and spent happy times together until her death on February 27, 2011.

Graveside Service: 2:00 PM, Monday, August 14, 2023 at Lathrop Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Meals On Wheels in c/o CRMC.

Ray is survived by cousins and many friends.
